The Ocean City Light Tackle Club and its members are very grateful for the TBF's recognition of the clubs history and dedication to billfish release fishing. |
79th Ocean City Light Tackle Club Derby Tournament Dates: January 27 to January 31, 2026 Location: Isla Mujeres, Mexico Chairman: Sasha Motsko DERBY UPDATE The Ocean City Light Tackle Club is once again in the beautiful location at Isla Mujeres, Mx. We will be fishing for three days with 32 anglers participating. Opening reception will take place on the 27th and fishing 3 of 4 days will take place on the 28th through the 31st. Final Day Update: WAYNE SIX WINS 6th OCLTC DERBY Wayne was able to capture another title by catching a high daily of 4 fish on day 3 bringing his point total to 700. This was just enough to edge out three other anglers who had accumulated 600 points. Dale Creamer, David Gray and Jim Giles were all vying for 2nd and 3rd place with 600 points. A total of 108 sailfish were caught over the three days and everyone had shots. The weather was typical OCLTC Isla Mujeres weather with lots of wind on Days 1 and 2. We want to say a special thank you to our Derby Chairman, Sasha Motsko. Her tireless efforts to organize this terrific event are much appreciated. RESULTS
