The Billfish Foundation bestows Club of Excellence award to OCLTC

The Billfish Foundation will acknowledge the Ocean City Light Tackle Club in November 2018 with its Club of Excellence Award. The Ocean City Light Tackle Club and its members are very grateful for the TBF's recognition of the clubs history and dedication to billfish release fishing.

79th Ocean City Light Tackle Club Derby
Tournament Dates: January 27 to January 31, 2026

Location: Isla Mujeres, Mexico

DERBY UPDATE

Chairman: Sasha Motsko

The Ocean City Light Tackle Club is once again in the beautiful location at Isla Mujeres, Mx. We will be fishing for three days with 32 anglers participating. Opening reception will take place on the 27th and fishing 3 of 4 days will take place on the 28th through the 31st.

The bite has been pretty good before the Derby, but the weather is kicking up and it will make the event very interesting. We want to thank all of the anglers and their guests for braving the nationwide winter storm to get here. There are some great stories of perseverance and luck!
